There are many unique ways to divide spaces, but these brilliant installations from Jessica Helgerson Interior Design are the most amazing I have seen. The rope "walls" in Corazon restaurant would add quite the dash of drama if applied to a resedential environment...
And these glass sculptures from Portland based glass artist Andy Palko would be an impacting and elegant way to divide an elegant loft.

Rope wall in office setting via The Brick House
that rope wall is insane. I LOVE it
I love the rope going straight through the countertop, very cool. And omg- I need these over-sized glass sculptures. It'd be cool if you could hang them high enough to set over a dining room table, instead of a light.

The rope walls are amazing and would look really cool in a nautical themed room as well.
